WHAT IS "YOG SUTRA?"
Yoga Sutras are the oldest text on yoga. Sutras are an aphorism; a proverb. As the exact date of the origin of Yoga Sutras is not known but it is believed that Yoga Sutras originated prior to 400 CE by Sage Patanjali. It outlines the eight limbs of Yoga. The Yoga Sutras contains 196 sutras & are further divided into 4 chapters. These 4 chapters discuss the aims & practice of Yoga.
